Remove drawbar(s). Jack up tractor, remove left wheel, rim and weight all in one, set it aside. Axle tube held to transmission with six bolts, support left side final drive ass'y and remove the bolts. Remove the pin in the brake control rod and free the clevis. Now remove the unbolted ass'y, be carful, there are two locating pins here, also the ass'y is quite heavy and clumsey. Inspect drum and band. Remove and replace the seal in the differential. Probably have to buy a new brake band. If you feel the need to remove the drum, remove the set screw that holds it on and remove with a puller. The left brake probably went bad because of the leaky diff. seal. The right brake is done similarly ecept a whole lot more stuff to remove. Right brakes don't go bad as often because the band is way away from any potentially leaky seal. Good luck guys, it's not a bad job but it's a bit miserable; you just gotta do it.
