There should be three wires coming from the left side behind the air filter bracket . A lite blue in 12 ga. a yellow in about 14 ga. and a black one in 14 ga. The lite blue is to the armature the yellow is the field and the black goes to the shut down solenoid . Now there could be a wire for and air filter restriction gauge and there could be a wire for the horn if equiped. But off hand with out really thinking about it for a while I can not remember the other colors .
