Sparkplug adapter

In my manual for a IH 340 it shows a pic of an adapter, you can put in one of the sparkplug holes,
inwhitch one end of the hose is connected to the sparkplug adapter and then there is a gage. At the
other end you put it on the tire valve so you can inflate the tire. The book says you can crank the
tractor up and at slow idle in flate the tires. Has anyone heard of or done this before ? It seems to me
the tractor would not run good on three plugs. I don't know but I found it very interesting. Once again
I'm knew at this tractor stuff.
