John: I'm close behind you in cost on restoring my 1950 "H". This is one that I have had for years, so I don't even consider the purchase price of $750 as part of the restoration cost. However, I currently have a little over $1000 in labor and parts, I still have to pay for a new muffler, battery box/cover, seat covering and decals, all of which will come to around $200. Then there is still primer and paint, and then to top it all off, about $500 worth of new tires all around. When it is all done, then I may wish I had redone the engine, like you did. However, that is not the worst of it. I use this H for all kinds of jobs around the farm. Now it will become a prima donna and be too pretty to do anything except go to the fair or something. Some deal, huh? Chuck
