It all depends on how fussy you are. I rebuilt a Farmall A for less than $1000. I next rebuilt a Super C and spent $3000 and had almost every part off, cleaned, sandblasted and painted. It took me over a year. My latest project is an MD. I didn't know what spending was until I started this restoration. You can easily spend a thousand dollars rebuilding the injector pump and injectors to say nothing finding parts no longer available.
But the main thing is the fun of doing it and the satisfaction of seeing the results. Like someone else said, it is a hobby like golf, fishing, hunting, etc. Roger
