John, The 340 was built both as a International 340 and as a Farmall 340 and was available as both gas and diesel. l. You don't say which yours is. The gas tested Nebraska # 665 32.66 db hp and 36.12 pto hp. The diesel tested Nebraska # 775 36.25 db hp and 38.93 pto hp. The gas has a 3 1/4 x 4 1/16 135 cu in 4 cylinder engine with 7.52 to 1 compression ratio. The diesel has a 3 11/16 x 3 7/8 166 cu in 4 cylinder engine with 19.7 to 1 compression ratio. The diesel was basicly four cylinders of the same series engine used in the 460, 560, and 660 of the same time. I featured pre-combustion chambers with glow plugs for starting. The Farmall was standard with 6.00-16 front and 12.4-36 rear tires, IPTO, TA, and two point fast hitch. Gas shipping weight 4404 and diesel shipping weight 4510. The International 340 was standard with 6.00-16 front and 13.6-28 rear tires, IPTO, and either 2 point or 3 point hitch. Gas shipping weight 3884 and diesel shipping weight 3999. TA was an add on option for the International 340 and could be deducted from the Farmall 340 if so ordered. Enjoy your tractor. Harold H
