51 Farmall H came to life but running more like a Dang Ol Deere.

After 2 long days I finally gave it a fire at 4:30. It started popping almost immediately. Open up the mix and then she came to life. Since I had worked some oil on the top of the pistons, she smoked for about 5 minutes then it cleared out. Oil pressure went right to 60 psi. She only ran on 3 for a while and now on 4 but not smooth. I pulled each plug wire and all 4 plugs are working fine. I found the sweet spot on the timing and was only 10 degrees off or so. She's running on 4 but sounds like 3 1/2. Its noisy under the valve cover so I suspect one of my clearances got loose. Governor is not responding steadily. Prob. weak springs. Gas bowl is leaking badly. Someone rigged in a cork gasket. My fault for not catching that. So I suspect it will take a couple of more hours to work out the bugs and hopefully that #1 sleeve will settle down. At least she is running a WHOLE LOT BETTER than before I tore it down. That is it for now. I are tired. 14 hours yesterday and 9 today.
