Red, The power unit of the M engine was the U-6. The diesel power unit was the UD-6. The serial number year for the M tractor will be approximately the same as the motor number on the U-6 power unit. It would normally have a radiator, hood, grill and four mounting feet. It could be on skids, have a clutch mounted, belt pulley, or several different clutch housings depending on what the application was ordered for. It is 247.7 cu in and was rated 41 hp at 1500 rpm as a power unit. Harold H
