I am no wizard but I know that with tight bolts, for instance, if itry to turn them out with a wrench I'm likely to break them, But with impact I'm more likely to break them loose. Lesson, impact and jarring is better than torque. A puller applies torque, not impact. My brother and I have dealt with the most stuck pieces of junk I have ever seen and we hammer (impact them out with a stout piece of hickory and sometimes a ten pound sledge. At leats use impact once you have as much sterss (torque) as you dare.
