If they are the ones I'm thinking of they take
a lot of ignition current to fire because of the wide gap. I have a
snowmobile that uses them as original equip.
It has CDI ignition. They still foul if if I dont
have the carb set right or the fuel is mixed too
rich. They can be cleaned and reused though. Just spray them with carb cleaner and wipe them off with a rag. I don't think they would be any advantage in a tractor unless you have a hotter
than stock ignition system.
