Ken Updike told be about using Dextron III. It will clean it out quickly, but your psi while running may not be much more than 20 psi. I hate to do that on this rebuilt motor on my 51 Farmall H. The only place where I have any remaining sludge is basically in the timing gear area, and deposits in the governor assembly. The head was boiled and I cleaned out the pushrod chamber which was awful. It had 1/4" think of oil sludge on the walls. Phil is correct on the screen on the oil pump collector. Mine was 80% plugged before I thoroughly cleaned it. I was getting maybe 40 psi before teardown. Now I am getting 55-60 psi. I did not rebuild the oil pump.
