So as not to break the pins on backside of chrome nameplates and lettering, I took the sheetmetal off. Then, with small punch-hammer carefully tap out the pieces from the back side. Contact on the tiny mounting pin of the emblem, or lettering. This was from a 350 tractor. The FARMALL, and 350, and McCORMICK chrome pieces. If the little holding roll pins are gone from the sheet metal, you could use the "speed nuts" from an auto store to hold the chrome items back on the tractor when you are ready to install. Just don't pry off......the mounting pins can break real easy ! If that happens, save the broke pins and take JB Weld and reattach to base of the nameplate. That works real well. Removing the chrome stuff before repainting makes a nice way to get a good job done. Its all pretty common sense stuff, but some can be stubborn to move !! MJD
