Howdy, I have a 140 Farmall and just yesterday my el cheapo riding mower died. Now a replacement will cost me about $1200-$1600. I am considering acquireing a Cub or A/SA and use either my Cub/SA sickel mower for the pasture or a belley mower for my 1 Acre yard. Is this really practical, I figure that in a year a riding mower is just a used mower but an A or Cub is always a classic. My yard is level, very few trees and is basically a rectagle in the midle of a 11 acre field. What should I look for in these two? How much are turf tires? Thought about mounting on the 140 but need it for mowing the pasture with the bush hog or sickel mower or tiling the garden. Help before I make a mistake. Which brand of belly mower is the best, has the most spare parts available? What about using other brand tractors such as AC-G? How much is reasonable with the mower already in place? I lean toward the A for power and compatablity with the 140 but the Cub is certainly of value. thanks in advance
