Farmall 230 serial # ??

Have a 230 that's missing data plate on flywheel housing. It's been re-painted yellow and can not find an engine # anywhere on block. There's a raised area on the block where it looks to me where the # should be stamped , above the dist. , but no # there either. Any ideas of where this # should be?
