as for maneuverability, the 6ft mower is slightly wider than the tractor rear tires, and as a result it is very easy to "brush" by trees and shrubs. This would not be apparent to you if you have a 5ft or less bush hog, since you can't sideswipe items with it because it doesn't extend beyond the tires. You might borrow one and try it out. I don't have any tractor tire damage, but my soil is not very soft.
