A cookie is a little bit of information that tells the site you are at what you have visited. Such as how many times you hit a certain ad. On some sites with large amounts of hits and lots of advertisers, they will "rotate" new ads in after one individaul has logged on a given number of times. Some people say this is an infringement on privacy. For example, whoever set that link up now has the information of all who followed the link (like me). You do want to be careful. If you hold the mouse over the link and not click it, both Netscape and Internet Explorer will show the address of the link. I assumed it was ok because it had a ytmag address.
