A or C, which way to rebuild?

Hello All, I have a rather unique situation. My father-in-law gave me a '1946 Farmall A to restore. Here is the scoop... many years ago the original motor on this particular A went bad. Because of its size and usefullness around the berry farm, they took the front end off of a Farmall C and put the motor into this particular A. Unfortunately the original motor for the A has long been sent to the steel mills so refurbishing that is no longer an option. So, currently, I have a fully functional (was just used 3 weeks ago to fertilize)'46 A with bad sheet metal and the back half of the C (sorry, don't have the serial numbers handy). And I have the back half of the C, not sure if I have everything to make a fully functional C, but I think the parts might all be in the barn, up in the loft. I guess my reason for asking if I should reunite the original motor with the C comes from my past experience of restoring old cars. Should I bother, or should I just enjoy the A for what it is? thanks for you input. Paul paul@liepoldfarms.com
