My wife found a black snake climbing the Blue bird box when they had chicks. She used a garden hose to pick him up and put the snake in a box until I got home. I asked her what she would've done if that snake crawled off the hoe? She said he was a dead snake then. I drop him off in a field on the way to work. When I had Martins I never had a problem with mosquitos. I made a Martin house for my wife's parents and they got Martins too. They had trees all around too. It was just a cottage near the river and they had Chestnut trees and were very tall. Hated those Chestnut burrs. Hal
