Georgeky,hoped you would get some answers from several different people by now instead of depending on what I post. Your date code sounds about right and tractor serial # would be for a 400. Several minor differances in 450 and 400 farmall but unless someone really done some switching look at the lever on end of T/A clutch operating shaft on left side of clutch housing and the rod from T/A handle hooks to one side of it. On a 400 it has the # 359907R1 . 450 has # 366352R1. Not going to say following numbers are 100% correct but best I know. Farmall 400 last serial # 41485. Last Farmall 450 # 26067. I have seen 400 tractors over 41000. On the C 281 engines in original late farmall 400 tractors as another posted, Im not going to say it never happend but never found any proof that they did.
