What I was hoping would be a "gaskets and seals" restoration on my 450LP has turned into a (364586) head that is cracked in cylinders 2 and 3 down to the valve guides. I suspect the engine froze long before I bought the tractor (it has a heavy block repair right behind the carb) and over time, the coolant eroded the crack along the wall of the water jacket and combustion chamber causing the metal there to be very thin (according to the engine guy I've got working on the repair). Has the supply of potential good, used replacement LP heads pretty much dried up? I can't afford to pay $1,000 for a replacement. Am I relegated to having the engine guy fix mine?
