If you use a boom pole they are very handy. I can easily lift the front off the ground before I overload the three point and boom with a load. I don't usually go far with a load on the boom pole, usally no more than fifty feet. Mostly its lifting something off of a trailer and setting it down. But sometimes it needs a little weight for steering. I lucked out and got two sets of front weights for $120. I plan on leaving one set on permanently and the second for just in case I need a little extra.
