The Front end (bolster) is lubed in several places, and (normally) with two lubes. The gearbox on the top front that turns the steering effort from horizontal to vertical, is normally filled with 90 wt gear oil. If the bushings and seals are good, this is a good lube for it. If the bushings are good enough to be a tight steering H, but the seals leak, it is common to put molybdnum based chassis grease in the box bu removing the top and packing it 80% full. The lower bushings and thrust bearing are greased (same grease as above) There are several fittings. The universal joint in the shaft is lubed with the same grease thrioug a hole in the sheet metal near the gauges on the top of the hood. The steering post is also set up with a Zerk for grease. JimN

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
