I've not had the mag apart, that far back, I just tuned it up (which helped)and I feel for compression and bring #1 tdc by hand, and the rotor is lined up. It might run right for 2 minutes then it loads down and miss for a couple, lightly tap the mag and it smooths out. It is like the impulse works good then some. It is almost like it starves for gas then finds it, then floods. But like I said I have replaced the manifold, and carb with new, that made no difference. But messing with the mag does.I guess I should buy a rebuilt one,if that don't I will have to trade it for a Mahindra
