Id say he should tell us more on what he did to it. Its a crap shoot to just guess. I have a 70hp H that I know I can farm with it and not worry too much bout it at the end of the day. I used IH parts to build it so I know its IH tough!! LOL! I have a H thats in the low 100's in HP at the pto, ran for years till the block split. The crank looks as good as the day we put it together, still well with in specs. All IH parts in that engine too! Old Farmalls dont die, they just lose way evey once in a while. If that engine is new, he needs to break it in before any tuning is done. Will fight the tuning during break in process. Warm it up, retorque every bolt that requires a specific torque,,, (head, manifolds etc etc) then put about 10-15 working hours on it. After that, run a compression test, and go from there. Everything Jan said for parts is right on the money! Makes a fun tractor out of it that can do work or play! JMHO, ChadS
