HELP! Bolster bearing, which way?

I'm reinstalling the front bolster on the M and I don't know which side is supposed to go up on the bearing. One side is machined and flat across the whole side with a small 45 deg. bevel on the inside. the other side has the mfg. name and part no. stamped on it, and a smaller machined area. The inside edge is a large radius. It looks like that side would go down to fit the bolster but there is a ring of thinner metal around the outside edge of the bearing and it wraps around the outside edge of the second side. That metal ring sticks out a little further than the smaller machined area of the second side. The bolster has a small ridge on the area that the bearing sits on and the ring of thinner metal. Can anyone tell me for sure which side goes up? I want to get it right the first time. Thanks John S-B.
