Most of them probably came with 9's. My dad's two B's he had in the 40's had 9's for cultivating vegetables. I bought a C about 3 years ago with, I believe, the original 9's on it. The width of the tire depends on what the individual farmer wanted to do with it, in our case it was culivating vegetables in 20 inch rows. That said, I have a Super A with 11.2's on it. All it is used for is mowing -- but the 11.2's increase the ground speed, making it difficult to mow heavy grass and weeds because 1st is too fast.
