Hugh mine worked fine to 6600 hrs, then the shaft in the little pump broke,after replacing that it started sucking air. I guess we damaged a o ring when we had it apart. Mine has the 17 gal pump and a 9 gal piggy back to work lift. It is basicly just like the 656.
