You could probably manufacture some adapters to replace the injector/precup assemblies but that would only be part of the problem. The pistons would have to be changed to include the combustion chamber that you are removing from the head. The injectors would have to come in very close to center of the combustion chamber and the nozzles holes would have to have the correct angles on them so that the sprayed in the right location. If the spray pattern hit the cylinder wall instead of in the combustion chamber you would soon have a scored sleeve and piston.
