I was reading the post down on page two about a 656D running rough and the symptoms of fluttering at high speed but not idle reminds me of the exact same problem on my little IH234 diesel. It does that and I have taken into IH and they could not figure out how to get it out. They even sent the pump off to shop, checked injector, etc. Could it be just as simple as changing the timing that pencil width? Problem is I have never screwed with an injection pump let alone one of these little mitsibishi engines.
Oh! I do not get the smoke like the guy with the 656 says he is getting.
