If it has domed pistons, it will be difficult to turn over by hand with a hand crank. Otherwise, yes, it should turn over by hand pretty easy. M's are hard to turn over with the hand crank because you have to push it in and turn at the same time. I think that is the main reason why you never see one on the tractor and instead find it buried under dirt at the back of the shed or propping up a window somewhere. If you have 55 to 60 psi at idle, that isn't too bad, and the motor will have a lot of life left. Expect it to drop more after it gets warm though. Our M drops down to about 40 or so at idle, which is lower than I like, but it still runs great, so I am not touching it. Our W6 (standard tread version of an M) makes 70 at cold start up and 60-65 after a day's worth of work.
