How to clean up the old paint?

I'll be selling my '46 H after I buy this '48 H I'll be looking at soon. I want to clean up the '46 and make it more presentable.

- What is the best way to bring some red back on the paint that is there?

- What is the best way to get the grime, grease, and oil off of it? (Remember, I live in a neighborhood, so I can't just scrub it with oven cleaner in the street)
