I haven't ever worked on an IH with a 3pt but I've spent some time on Fergusons. I think you've probably got several issues here. First off even if the system was/is out of adjustment I'd expect the relief valve to blow and you'd hear the engine labour and maybe a whining noise. So it seems your relief valve is probably stuck. Tell you what, thought just occurred to me. What's the temperature and weather been like recently where you are? How much do you use the tractor? When did you last use it? Is it stored inside or outside? When did you last change the oil in the rear end? My thought is that you've accumulated some water in your hydraulic oil and it's frozen and that's what's causing your problem. Hope this helps, tractorsam
