gene: I was thinking the same thing. If I had a dollar for every time I wished an old 6 volt Farmall gasser wouldn't start, and it did. I could retire in luxury, just on those dollars. Properly tuned, battery and cables in good condition, these old gassers are good for -40. I'll tell you, if you can stand colder than that on an open tractor, "your nuts". I once drove a Farmall 300 close to a mile at -40, I think my dad prayed that one wasn't going to start that morning.
