The TA sits high in the clutch housing and is lubed by trans lube that is thrown aganst the wall of the transmission housing. This drains along the wall and exits into the clutch housing and collects in a puddle that the TA unit sits in. When running this is effective enough, Lube flying every where. When sitting for extended periods. More that 1/2 the TA unit is exsposed to the air inside the clutch housing. Condesation of moisture over a few years could corrode the metal parts of the TA. Maybe the rollers inside the ramp are stuck along the wall of the ramp and not realeasing as they should. Or maybe it is just wore out. In any event if the TA slips on the low side it is because the Ramp and rollers are not working as they should. There is no such thing as a weak TA. They are ether working or broke.
