Kurt there is no dip stick. Look on the left side of the oil pan, there will be two pet cocks one sits a little higher than the other. Open the top one and add oil until it starts running out and it is full. From then on as long as oil will run out of the lower cock it has enough in it. When no oil runs from lower cock it is a quart low.
