Finally something I can contribute a little to. The Steiger tractors were built about 7 miles from where I live (I am near Thief River Falls, MN). Some of the earlier models I have heard about are the puma, panther, couger and models like 270 and 310. The farmer I work for has a 310, I think it is an early 1980's model, and it is still used extensively every spring and fall. I believe it has over 8,000 hours on it and going great. They were built by a couple talented farmers turned manufacturers. I believe after they were sold locally, they were built in Fargo, ND by Case/IH. That is the end of my smarts.
