Schwartz vs. IH wide front

Hey guys, I'm ready to drill some holes in the bottom frame rails on my SM to mount a Schwartz wide front. When I do will the same holes be able to be used for a later model IH wide front? By the way, when did the later model wide front come out (tie rods in back, 460/560 style) I've seen them on quite a few SMTA's. Did they ever come stock on a SM? Mark
