The 184 is the best of the numbered Cubs. The 154s and 185s are the same except HP (15 & 18). The 154s & 185 have the drive clutch mounted to the transmission input shaft. To stop the transmission shaft from spinning when putting into gear, they installed a transmission brake. This and the dry multi-disc PTO clutch are the low points of these two Cubs and expensive to maintain. On the 184, they put the clutch back up on the flywheel where it belongs and replaced the multi-disc PTO clutch with an electric PTO clutch. The 184 with 3-Point is top of the line. If it also has creeeper drive, you are in with the big boys. By the way the production sequence is 154, 185 then 184. Price could run from $1500-4500, depending on location, condition and demand. I have a 154 and two 184s. Good Luck, K-Mo
