gas over deisel motor

Hi! Friend telling me about a IH 6 cylinder engine he seen, was start on gas switch to deisel. I've seen the 4 cylinders in 400's and SMTA's. This motor he seen was in galion grader. It ran when parked. Guy is going to scrap it. Wonder if motor is worth anything? Or was same motor used in a IH tractor also? He going to get some numbers off motor in couple days. If anyone is interested in the motor, Let me know? Thanks, Don
