Hi Rodney, I would say bad diesel would be my last choice of why a engine wouldn't run. A diesel engine will run on just about any fuel, ether, kerosene, gasoline, (the lighter weight fuels), or No2 disilate, to No4 fuel oil and even No6 fuel oil (very heavy viscosity) if heated, to pure vegetable oil. Depending on oil quality, depends on how well the engine will run and how long it will last, but it will run. If you had a engine miss or not pulling upto maximum load then I would look at the fuel quality. On a non-running engine, I'd be looking for another problem, plugged return, air in the fuel, fuel shut off or plugged, bad primary pump, etc. T_Bone
