I bought my 300u with a loader about 2 years ago at a farm auction. Paid $3,500 and it included a 5' 2 point sicle mower and 2 point 7' blade. Tractor has power steering but no T/A. It was a typical farm tractor, they repaired what was necessary for what it was used for, most of the hyd cylinders leaked and I had some hydraulic problems. I believe the steering gear box on mine is one from a 340/460, heavier than original. I have spent many, many hours tinkering with it but not so much money. I use it primarily for pulling a 7' pull behind snow thrower. I put chains on it and is does very well. Overall, I am very happy with the tractor. It is very nimble, i.e. turns short and an excellent starting engine (it has been converted to 12v).
