Several potential issues Carbon deposits in the combustion chambers from idle low work loads, or mediocre adjustments (load burns it out) Fuel turning to varnish and changing flow in carb passages (cleaned by fuel disolving buildup, and heat assisting the disolving action) Sticking governor parts from sitting (heat and activity degum the components) sticking advance curve system in dist. More wirk high RPMs, and heat over time can free them up so the advance works with engine speed. Farmalls are like a good bull they need some appropriate activity to keep them from going flabby. JimN
