measure your blade heights on a concrete or blacktop level surface. measure outer tip heights side to side and front to rear. side measurements should be the same for each side of the deck. front to rear measurements, rear should be around 3/8 to 1/2 inch higher than the front. the front gauge wheels should have shims to adjust front and side to side heights. rear attachment points set the rear height. if you want a handy dandy measuring tool, zoom over to your john deere lawn equipmen dealer and pick up this measuring tool, about 15.00 or so. real handy for setting deck heights.
