Use a temporary gas tank with clean gas. Once you have your carb thing fixed make sure your tractor tank has been cleaned maybe lined beofre hooking up. I have a few McCormicks and all the numbered Farmalls pre 1939 and the little !@#$%^ F-12's are by far the most hard to dial in. I'd say have patience but its hard sometimes with F-12's.
