Brett if you added the live Hyds to the H and did not replace the cam gear with a hardened one then that was the problem not the pressure on the pump. All H,s made prior to 1952 did not have hardened cam gears and must be replaced to run live hyds or you will see the same problem sooner or latter from the constant pressure of the pump. The cam gears that are on the older ones just had to run the distributor drive that had no pressure on them.
