Thank you for your replies. I really did not want to try "burning" or torching the air cleaner so I tried my own way. When the air cleaner oil cup is removed, there are three small tabs that go across the screen. I cut them and slipped the rest of that part off. I carefulley bent the lip all the way around enough to remove the screens. I carefully removed each screen with a needle nose vise grip (when I needed it). The screens were very plugged and there was dirt all over the place where the air cleaner sucks air so the air cleaner did not have much air flow. I'm cleaning out the entire canister and the screens and it will be re-assembled. I'll carefully bent the lip back once the screens are installed and slip the tab assembly back on and I might weld the tabs or something or maybe try using a hose clamp on the end in case I ever need to clean it again. Andy.
