It looks like a #8 Tractor Plow, but it's hard to be sure from that angle. A larger photo from the side would help some. Yes, there was a kit to convert them to hydraulic lift, but you would have to find it on one and part it out. I sold a two bottom last year that had it on. There can easily be shins on a #8 plow, most of those bottoms are interchangable, and IH made those #8 plows up until (I think) 1961. It could have Plow Chief or Super Chief steel bottoms on it. Earlier cast iron bottoms might be what you saw before.
