For the last 360 thousand years, CO2, methane, and global temps have been in extraordinary lock step. Small short term temp differentials are there, but they fail to fit the definition needed to debunk the larger pattern. If we are conservative, we plan for the 90th percentile of the worst case. If Al predicts the worst, and 50 percent believe half of what is really indicated, we begin to believe as a nation, hemisphere, and planet. Then we can accomodate enough change, enough trouble, and enough political stress to survive if the prediction is only 50% as bad as it could be, and understandable if it is very bad. We are learning that we affect the actual climate of earth. It is like the first person to ride a bicycle, (but we cannot afford to fall off). Conservation first, Farmers lead the way, and provide for all! Mars Dust in its current arrangement has the most reflective material buried, and low albido (dark) sand on substantially larger land areas. (science News, this week) JimN
