Im not sure I understand what you meant, ifffffffffffffff she indeed charges for at least some time AFTER you polarize her but then stops, that sounds like the VR isnt supplying a good ground for the gennys Field post circuit to draw field current which creates the electromagnetic field. You may wanna insure the VR has its own good ground, maybe use a jumper etc to its steel case portion to a good ground. When you polarize, do you get a spark as you should??? For her to spark the Field has to have a ground which is normally via the field control relay inside the VR plus its built in resistors and then by having a good VR ground (usually to gennys case). Are you sure the VR is compatible with your ground??? i.e. Pos or neg???? If the genny and VR grounds are good n the battery is okay n the belts tight, guess you will have to work through my long winded procedure below. John T
