It sounds like most of these tractors have some play in the fan assembly. So I'm not too worried at this point. I'll have to monitor the situation, but it sure wasn't acting like it was about to sieze up. It turned easily by hand, for example (time for a new belt!) even before I oiled it. I had one HECK of a time getting the oil retaining screw out. It was frozen up, ale dobre! To make matters worse, some one (it may have been me) had messed up the head of the screw. In any event, I had to do the trick with the vice-grips on the screwdriver shaft to get it out. Jejdanecky!
